Rams vs Seahawks - Plus Money Lunch Money Preview

We’ve done two of these articles and we’ve had some nice plus money winners in both. Let’s keep that train rolling. But, if you want to win all week long, buy the NFL 4 Week package by clicking Buy Packages above. You’ll get four full weeks of picks from BTB and BTBJesse.

This Thursday, we have another divisional matchup with the Rams and Seahawks squaring off. Thursday Night Games have actually been pretty entertaining so far this year – sometimes they really suck. This year has been good and this one should also live up to the hype. Remember, this article is all about plus money plays – are they likely to happen, no, but I’ll try and share some reasoning why I like the play or the value.

We will start at the most logical spot, the beginning. In three of the four games the Rams have played, they have thrown a touchdown as the first score of the game. They’ve actually scored first in all four of the games. The Seahawks have scored first in two games and their opponents have scored first in two of the games. The Rams to score first and it be a touchdown is +155. Sign me up for that one. Being a divisional game, usually the teams are better against each other so I’ll also play the Rams FG as the first score at +390. Obviously the Seahawks scoring first ruins both of those, and they can’t both win, but if I’m betting on a team to give up points first, it will be the Seattle defense, not the Rams.

I’m going to take a shot on Van Jefferson to be the first touchdown scorer for the Rams at +850. In two of the four games, Jefferson has had the first touchdown for the Rams. He’s third on the team in targets, and not very far off of Robert Woods. Cooper Kupp has value (and five touchdowns already) but at +330, I don’t think it is worth it.

For the final play, I head over to FanDuel (all other odds are found on DraftKings) I’m going to take Tyler Lockett to have the most receiving yards. Cooper Kupp is the clear favorite of Matthew Stafford, but Tyler Lockett can have big games himself and leads the Seahawks in receiving yards. When he has a big game, it is usually very big. As the third favorite, I like the value offered here and will play him to lead all receivers at +450.
