Well… Damn. I thought it was a great week for the BTB followers when we hit Jorge Soler as the World Series MVP at 35 to 1. It moved up to an unbelievable week when the man himself, BTB, hit a FREE 50:1 winner on Matthew Wolf being the round 1 leader at the World Wide Technology Championship. We won’t stop there though. We’ve already had some nice weeks with some plays in these articles, and BTB and BTBJesse started the Thursday slate with a perfect 3-0 start. You want all of their picks? This week we get the Rams and Titans playing on Sunday Night Football. This should be an interesting one with Derrick Henry out of the game for the Titans. He obviously is a difference maker and arguably was on pace to be the MVP this season. Instead, we now get Adrian Peterson or potentially Jeremy McNichols to pace the Titans backfield.
For the Rams, they’ve been built on the quick connection from Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. They have already connected for ten touchdowns and almost 1,000 yards. Kupp also has 30 more targets than the next closest receiver on the team. We mentioned the Titans new addition in Peterson, but the Rams also made a bit of a splash with a once dominant difference maker in Von Miller. I personally think he still has some gas left in the tank and might be rejuvenated coming to a surefire playoff team.
Speaking of Kupp, even though he is targeted like crazy, and has 10 touchdowns, he’s only scored the first touchdown of a game once this season. He has scored two touchdowns in a game three times and I’m going to look at that as an option once it is posted. I won’t call this a blind bet, but if I get 3 to 1 or higher, I’ll throw a taco dinner on it.
I’m going to go with first touchdown scorers for each team rather than the game. I don’t have a great idea who will score first in the game, but for each team it cuts down our odds a bit, but also allows us to be right twice. Of course, both can lose, but these are plus money plays that we look to find a logical solution to and put some fun money on that we can use to buy some nice lunches throughout the week. My play for the Titans is Ryan Tannehill at +850. He doesn’t mind scrambling and getting into the endzone when needed. He also will be flushed from the pocket by the Rams rushing defense. I liked AJ Brown, but with Jalen Ramsey likely guarding him, I’ll pass. And, the ghost of Julio Jones doesn’t do much for me.
For the Rams, I’ll play Van Jefferson. Woods is questionable (I assume he plays) but Jefferson is a serviceable target that might be able to sneak into the endzone as the Titans focus on the two bigger names in the offense. Jefferson is +650 to be the first scorer for the Rams.
One last play, and this would be four on the day if you play them all, but I’ll take a shot at the Titans getting a field goal as the first score of the game at +425. I think they will have a nice opening drive but ultimately stall out. The Rams could easily get the ball first and score, but this one has some good value to me. Good luck!
