Thursday Night Football was kind of a dud in this writer’s opinion. The game was just strange and full of missed opportunities. Though, you know who didn’t miss? BeatinTheBookie. He got us a quick three units on two plays. Get all of his and Jesse’s plays by clicking Buy Packages above.
We are going to continue our plus money lunch money plays where I share a few picks that I like and all of them are plus money. We literally just missed a ton of hits on the Thursday game because of turnovers, poor plays, penalties, you name it. Maybe we will have a better outcome this time.
The Chiefs and Bills reunite in a rematch of last years AFC Championship game. Outside of a pathetic opening day loss to the Steelers, the Bills look solid. Their defense has been very good and Josh Allen is regaining his form from last year. The Chiefs, on the other hand, have looked a bit rocky. Their season has started with a really tough schedule – having lost to the Ravens on the road, and then the Chargers at home. They beat the Eagles last week, but they also allowed 30 points. So, this week, if the Chiefs win it will be a result of great offense beating a great defense. Keep in mind, too, the Chiefs lost two games that really could’ve gone either way, especially the Ravens one.
The opposition has scored first in three of the first four Chiefs games. The Bills have scored first in all four of their games. While this is a small sample, and could be a complete fluke, the Bills are +100 to score first on DraftKings. This isn’t usually the type of plus money I’m looking for, but I’ll take it. I also don’t think Kansas City’s defense is that good, yet, so I think Buffalo scores a touchdown first. I’ll play that at +225.
The next play I have on this one is for a team to NOT score 3 unanswered times in the game. It hasn’t happened in any of the Chiefs games this year, and as good as the Bills defense is, they aren’t good enough to stop the Chiefs for a full game. We know Buffalo is good enough offensively to put up points too. I love this bet and will play it at +200 happily, because I think it should be the favorite.
I’m going to also play Zach Moss as the first touchdown scorer at +1400 and an anytime touchdown scorer at +175. He has found the endzone in every game this season for the Bills and should be able to do it again against the Chiefs defense that has more than enough to focus on with Allen, Diggs, Sanders, and Beasley.
